Public Dolphin ‘Citizen Science’ Project

Crystal Cove State Park, 8471 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 / Public Dolphin ‘Citizen Science’ Project: the public is invited to visit the Guest Services Office in Cottage #35 anytime from 7 a.m. until sunset to check out a "shoe-box" science kit with binoculars, dolphin field guides and fun family activities to monitor and participate in dolphin behavior research. When you submit your data sheet, you automatically become part of a research project with OrangeCoastCollege and will receive ongoing updates. Time: 7 a.m. until sunset. This activity is part of the SNAP! Exhibition, a program that enables world-class environmental experts to conduct park research while directly involving students and park visitors in the science that impacts the environment. Sunday March 07 - Laguna College of Art & Design - Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach Live! is pleased to present the very talented Third Wheel Wind Trio, flute, clarinet and bassoon. Brought together by the desire to perform unconventional music, Third Wheel is a woodwind trio unlike any other! With a repertoire spanning more than four centuries of music, Third Wheel expands the definition of chamber music with an unusual instrumentation and fresh, youthful perspective. The concert is 3:00 to 4:30 pm in Studio 6 of the Laguna College of Art & Design, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach. Just a few miles from downtown Laguna, the lovely campus offers ample and complimentary parking. The College Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm to view the current exhibition and is open during intermission. There is no admission charge but donations from the audience are appreciated. more
